The Dress

This is a beautiful and timeless ivory lace Essence of Australia wedding dress with a sweetheart neckline and lace straps. It has an elegant sheer and lace back with a fit and flare silhouette which can be worn with or without a petticoat (I have a wired one that can be included in the sale if requested)

My favourite things about this dress was its elegance, silhouette and sweetheart neckline which is very flattering. I loved its gorgeous long and layered lace train. I also liked that it was comfortable and lightweight to wear.

I had to travel by plane for my wedding and I was pleasantly surprised at how well it travelled. It folded up small and fit into a carry on suitcase. It was not prone to creases so much so that it didn't even require steaming after travel.

This dress was warn once on my wedding day in 2017. There is no damage or staining to the dress and it has been dry-cleaned in November 2021 for resale.

Alterations

I am 5'2" and the lining and satin layer have been shortened to work with my height and approx. 3 inch heels. *Correction: There are 2 lace layers. The top layer has been left unaltered but the second layer of lace has been taken up and pinned with stitching on the netting portion but not cut. This might be able to be taken out, but cannot be certain. If you would like a photo of this, send a message and I will change one of the photos temporarily for you to see.

This dress is a UK12 but I am a 10 on top and 12 on bottom. Minor alterations to the bust area were done to reflect my 10/12 frame and the straps taken up slightly.

An over-bustle(American bustle) was added for the train with a small hook and the pictures show the train out and bustled for reference.
