The Dress
This dress was absolutely perfect! If you are looking for a timeless, elegant dress that is slightly sexy this is the one. I paired my dress with the beautiful, unique Rue De Seine Canyon Veil.
I am 5'2/5'3 with a body shape somewhere between a rectangle and pear. The dress has been professionally cleaned and is in great condition.
Alterations
I bought the dress in a size 14 and had it altered to fit me perfectly. I'm usually a size 8-10 in dresses.
Waist: It was taken in to fit snug. About 97cm.
Length & Train: The length of the dress and train were shortened to my height. The train still has the beautiful dramatic affect of the original just more appropriate for a petite woman (see photos).
Hips: The hips were made more snug to make the fit & flare shape more defined.
Bustle: A bustle was also added so that the dress didn't get dirty and more importantly so that I could dance the night away!
Additions: The dress comes with removable straps. I chose to have the buttons added all the way to the start of the godet. The buttons lay over the zipper.
