The Dress

For sale is my stunning wedding dress that I wore in March this year (2021). I don't know the technical colours, I think the Salesperson said Ivory French Chantilly Lace over Mocha Satin.
It has a fitted silhouette and a deep V front and back and a zip closure. I had some draped sleeves made from the same lace as the dress which can be easily removed if you just want the thin straps - or could be altered to make tighter sleeves. Google the dress and you can see some options.

This dress has been altered to fit my body, which is heavy in the bum and the boobs.

There is a mocha-coloured belt-like band around the waist that was added, but this too can be easily removed.

When I first went looking for a wedding dress, I had resigned myself to either having to wear a tent or something with a decent corset built into it. I never, in a million years, thought that I could wear one of these slim-fitting, so-in-right-now lace dresses. I felt like $72,000,000 on the day. It was super comfortable. I danced, I walked through fields, I sat, I stood. I did not feel like I was trussed up like a Christmas turkey.

I have had the dress professionally cleaned and boxed by Regal Drycleaners in Launceston, Tasmania who were recommended by Timeless Elegence, which is who I bought the dress through (if you decide to not go the second hand route and find yourself in Launceston, Tasmania, I can honestly say you will not get better service than that offered by Louise, Taylor and Tanya, amazingly knowledgeable and helpful).

I was a pretty standard size 22 (Australian - I believe this is around a size 18 in the US) at the time of my wedding. I have lost a fair amount of weight since then, so my current measurements would not be useful.

Alterations

Most alterations were to get it to fit my body shape.
We added sleeves made from spare lace ordered through Madi Lane at the time I bought the dress (I had a 5 month waiting period between buying and receiving the dress).
We also added a satin band around the waist in a matching colour to the satin under the lace.
Both of these can be removed.
