The Dress

Originally bought at Kleinfeld's Sample Sale in 2021, I had this gorgeous 3D floral appliqué gown in white/blush altered for about a size 2 with a sweetheart neckline. You can google Sareh Nouri Olivie gown to see the standard photos of this gown from her 2019 collection. I did make some alterations, such as adding off the shoulder straps, which you can read about below.

I picked this dress since it seems both whimsical/playful but also simple and elegant. It is very comfortable and not very heavy. Easy to sit in and move around. I wore it for outside photos but avoided walking with the train down (there is some very minor dirt along the hem) and I had an indoor ceremony/reception without dancing. I'm so happy with this gown and while I'm sad to not wear it anymore, it'll be great to give it a second life since the quality of Sareh Nouri is so good and design so beautiful!

Alterations

I closed the plunge slightly and added off the shoulder sleeves with the extra lace from hemming. The original spaghetti straps are still on (I got rid of the crossed back straps) so if you prefer the original look, you can get rid of the off the shoulder sleeves pretty easily. I used clear double sided fashion tape to tape up the straps based on where I wanted them. There is also a 3-point bustle with buttons. There is a wrist strap for walking/dancing. I am 5'3" and the dress is suitable for 3"-4" heels (I wore both). Cups are sewn in and there is also some boning to give the top support.
