The Dress

This satin gown features a deep V neckline and a strappy open back accented with angular illusion panels. The full A line skirt extends into a sweeping train (which I had cut off to be a floor length gown). Bought the gown at BHLDN in early August. BHLDN is no longer selling this dress, and as such I had to purchase the sample (size 4), as I was in a pinch timing wise. I wasn't having a ceremony and was only having a small party to celebrate getting married and so I had the dress altered to remove the train. I am 5ft 3in, and had the dress hemmed to allow me to wear 3.75 in heels. I also had the seamstress remove most of the crinoline as I didn't want it super full in the skirt (still is plenty full). I added a belt that I got on Etsy, and it is tacked on to the dress (can be removed if you don't want). This dress has pockets and was one of my favorite parts of the dress (as well as the open back and illusion panels). It is an extremely comfortable dress- and I loved wearing it. I did have it professionally cleaned and pressed before wearing it, and would highly recommend you do the same before wearing. I have not had it cleaned since wearing it on 9/3/21 (the price is reflective of you needing to clean it) - and there are some black areas on the bottom hemline which are imperceptible unless you lift up the dress(pictures attached). Alterations

Straps were adjusted to be tighter, waist was taken in a little. Belt was added, train removed, hemmed to allow me to wear 3.75 in heels and I am 5ft 3in. Crinoline was mostly removed to make the dress less full.
