The Dress

This dress was purchased from Bridal Warehouse in 2012. The one shoulder neckline and opposite hip is beautifully detailed with crystals, pearls and beads, and the "Champaign" color and silky texture gives it a romantic, luxurious look. The dress is heavier, so it's important to make sure the corset back is secure to help hold up the weight. The one shoulder strap also helps a lot. The train can be pinned up or let down depending on your preference. The design of the dress is a nice mix between a true A-line and Fit-and-flare. Extra string for the corset is included. A nice cleaning and steam to release the wrinkles will really bring this dress back to life! It really is a beautiful piece.

Flaws:
- The bottom of the dress is darkened where the dress was dragging the floor. If you are shorter, alterations may be able to remove the stained portion.
- A small portion of the corset backing needs to be resewn, but this is inside the dress and not visible on the exterior.

Alterations

At the time of the wedding (2013), I was between size 10 to 12, so we opted for the size 12 and altered bust and waist to fit better. I am 5'7" and the bottom was barely altered for height (I wore flats).
