The Dress

This stunning dress is a high-low style, with a gathered, shorter front that drapes asymmetrically at knee length and a dramatic train that bustles to floor length. It was purchased from the Monique Lhuillier boutique in Los Angeles, from their Fall 2020 collection (designed and tailored in 2021). I felt like a movie star wearing it to my July 2021 wedding and received tons of compliments.

The dress has been professionally dry-cleaned and in good condition, with the exception of a few very faint grass stains along the hem and one faint discoloration on back(see pics). These could be easily hidden by a tailor during your alterations and are not noticeable at all due to the bustling style of the gown/train.

The gown is a pretty standard dress size 4. I am 4-6 usually, but sized down in this dress for the corseted effect. I am 5' 6" and wore 4" heels (the "Victoria heel" by Monique Lhuillier- also available for sale in ladies 7.5). I paired it with the Monique Lhuillier Bellini veil.

The gown is currently at my residence in Los Angeles. Locals are welcome to come try before you buy! It is truly one of a kind and I hope it finds a second bride who loves it as much as I do!

Alterations

The dress was custom tailored at Monique Lhuillier by their tailors, per the requirements of buying one of their dresses (but if you buy second hand you get to choose your own tailor :) The adjustments included making the corset fit snuggly, and adjusting the bustle length based on my height in shoes.
