The Dress
Timeless, classic silhouette. Custom Amsale dress purchased in Spring 2005 at the NYC Amsale store. Material is off ivory silk taffetta, floor length that allows for a three inch heel (Im 5'7'), sweet heart neckline. Waist features a beige silk taffetta cummerbund that bustles in the back and then drapes beautifully down the length of the dress. Row of visible buttons in the back. Dress was purchased as a size 6 but was fitted to my measurements which were close to a size 4 at the time. Has not been professionally dry cleaned.
Note: The dress has been stored in the original garment bag since my wedding. A recent inpection reflects flaws that include: an approximate one inch ring of floor residue around the entire hem, several oxidation stains and one approximate 6 x 18 oxidation stain on the lower back of the dress.
A professional dry cleaner that specializes in wedding dresses would be able to address these issues.
