The Dress

Please note that this is not a brand new dress.

I bought this dress in August 2020 for my October wedding, which we unfortunately had to cancel because of Covid.

We are now having a smaller June 2021 ceremony and I have found another dress. I really don't want to sell this, but it's not going to be worn, and it deserves to be!

I bought it straight from a Bridal shop as I was in a hurry to get a dress, so it was probably tried on a couple of times by other brides. It's a tag size US 10, so it needed to be altered to fit a UK 8. I'm 5ft 7.5 with a 32E bust, 37" hips and 26" waist.

The dress was professionally altered, and fits me perfectly. Just sad that I wont be wearing this dress, but I have found something lighter for June and can't justify having them both. This dress is in a good condition, with a few loose threads here and there due to the nature of the fabric.

My seamstress sewed a strapless bra in for me (have since removed), so there are a couple of pulls on the inside of the bustier, which cannot be seen on the outside.

I have not had the dry cleaned, as I only tried it on in the bridal shop and when it was being altered. You may wish to have it dry cleaned to freshen it up.

Ada (top):

Alterations

A strapless bra was sewn into the bustier of the top, which I have since removed. There is very light boning at the front of the bustier, which is part of the original design. The fabric has some stretch to it. My seamstress also added a little clip inside the bustier at the back to keep the bra band from sliding. I have pictures of this which I can send to you. The top was taken in to fit a smaller UK 8 size. The bustier can be altered to fit a smaller bust, as I had it taken in the sides to fit me at a 32E.

The skirt was altered to fit my hips and waist as well as height.

A finger loop was also added to that when you hold it, the skirt drapes beautifully.
