The Dress
This is a beautiful ivory-on-ivory dress from Catherine Deane featuring an a-line silhouette, a structured sweetheart bodice, scalloped lace hemline, and best of all, it has POCKETS! I purchased it as a sample and while it’s lovely, comfortable, easy to wear, and in pristine shape, I’m going in a different direction for my wedding. If you’ve seen other versions of the Helena gown, some have a blush lining— this one is truly ivory over ivory and appears as it does in the photos without any blush hues. No alterations have been made. It is quite long on me even with heels- given the scalloped hemline, one would want an experienced bridal tailor for shortening it. Stored in garment bag in a smoke-free home.
