I searched everywhere for something classic and timeless. I really wanted a dress that would age well and always feel elegant. I finally found it with this Grace Kelly-inspired dress and bought without even trying it on! Beautiful fabric buttons on the delicate lace sleeves and back - no need to worry about fiddling with them on the back though as they cover a functional zipper.
The dress has a subtle nude underlay on the bodice so it's not scandalous but the sleeves are sheer. Gentle beading and delicate sparkle throughout and backless for a little bit of 'wow'! I can't emphasise enough how beautiful the Chantilly lace is - I was very picky about it!
I'm quite tall at 5'7 so there's plenty of room for alterations. Dress was worn with a hoop in pictures for full volume but you can skip this if you'd like a ballgown look without being over the top. It still has plenty of poof by itself.
The only alteration I had done was amending to larger cups to account for my DD bust. This would easy to undo.
