Maggie Sottero, Violet

I bought this GORGEOUS Maggie Sottero Violet thinking I could alter it to my measurements. Due to COVID, I wasn't able to try it on and unfortunately it is just a little too small! Here is what I know about the dress:

Size:
The size on the tag is Bridal size 10, and it seems to be pretty true to size. I cannot guarantee it has not been altered in or out but when I measured it, it seemed to match the Maggie Sottero size chart for size 10. The hem to hollow is approximately 57"

Alterations: As mentioned above, it seems to still roughly match the Maggie size chart. It does seem to have been shortened at the shoulders and I think the length may have been shortened a little too, although I'm not positive. I am 5' 10" and it was slightly too short for me barefoot, although it might have fit if I let out the shoulders. A bustle was added, but it will need to be re-done as it is missing some of the buttons and a few of the loops are damaged

Style:
The dress is described as a "slim A-Line" on the designer's website. It is fitted through the hips and then falls basically straight down. The closure is buttons over zipper and they all seem to be in wearable condition

Color:
Light Gold-- basically a dark ivory, it is very beautiful! The pictures represent what it looks like in bright light/sunlight, in dark lighting it looks a little more gold.

Fabric:
The base layer is a heavy, high quality satin. The lace layer is a beautiful organza with embroidered lace details, beading, and sequins.

As far as I can tell, there is little/no damage to the lace layer except for some dirt at the bottom on the inside. The satin layer is also in excellent condition with only some dirt at the bottom on the inside

Structure: The dress has firm boning inside, structure in the cup area, and has an elastic band similar to a strapless bra to provide extra support.

Shipping: Shipping is included within the continental U.S. Shipping will include package insurance, and the dress will be wrapped in several layers of plastic within the box to protect it from any moisture.
