The Dress

I fell in love with this dress!!! I bought it knowing it was too big for me and hoping that I could have it altered and unfortunately that is not possible!! As it requires too much to be taken in :(

This dress will suit a gorgeous curvy bride who wants to dazzle on her wedding day!!! It is a gorgeous soft blush pink and just beautiful.

I'm devastated I can not wear it for my big day!

I am a large 14 and it's too big - so I would say it would fit a size 18 up to a size 20.

This is from the very first Vera Wang by David’s Bridal Line. It was purchased in a US size 16 but I was an 18/20 and had the dress altered to include a shoe string corset back with a fabric insert to keep skin covered. I also had the top altered to a sweetheart neckline instead of straight across to add a little shape.

NOTE: the dress was purchased for $2200 at the time. It is in almost new condition except for a small tear under the skirt on right side where it caught in my heel. Because the dress is so ruffled and full you can’t tell and have to really search for it! You could easily have the small hanging piece torn off and sewn so it doesn’t fray.

The dress fit me at the time with measurements of:

Chest 51” (around breast)

Waist 36”

Hips 52”

The dress, because of the shoestring ties, will easily fit someone from a US 16 up to a US 20.
