The Dress

Due to COVID-19, I was unable to have my dream dress altered in time for my wedding this June. But, I’m hoping that someone may be able to let this dress have the spotlight that she deserves! This is the Juri dress from the Blue by Enzoani line, Ivory color with nude lining, in a size 0. It is super flattering and incredibly stretchy and comfortable due to the crepe fabric. The front/top of the dress is a beautiful lace pattern and the straps are inlaid with the most delicate stones, but the real focal point of the dress is the stunning lace train. This train is long and intricate; for more photos, you can look up the dress on the Enzoani website. The plunging open back of the dress is also so flattering and really just takes the dress to another level. Everyone in my family who saw the dress was just in awe of it. I’m heartbroken that I couldn’t have worn it myself!

But, this means that the dress is completely untouched and unaltered! It has been preserved in the Enzoani garment bag since being delivered in January. For me, the only alteration the dress needed was hemming, but it would have been a significant job because I’m only 4’9”. For someone who is 5’5” or taller (including heels), the dress would likely not need much altering at all. Because it’s so form-fitting, it likely won’t need to be taken in if you fit the dress measurements (I have a 24” waist and 34” hips, and I wear a size zero in street clothing).

Also, I purchased the dress from R&K Bridal in the garment district of NYC. They have extremely fair prices because they are a large retailer, but because you wouldn’t have the chance to try the dress on and ask questions of the salesperson like I did, I’m asking significantly less than what I paid for it. Also, my mom was generous enough to purchase the dress for me, so the funds from this sale will just go right back to her!
