The Dress

This is a gorgeous simple yet stunning Sabina Motasem Josephine dress.

I fell in love with its classic 1920s silhouette and it was perfect for our wedding last summer.

A 100% pure silk cowl neck, bias cut, backless wedding dress with sumptuous puddle train.

This classic but unique dress can be effortlessly transformed into different looks during the day with a sash or Art Deco style beaded belt (not included in sale).

The fabric is unbelievably soft to the touch and, because of the natural properties of silk, it will keep you warm(er) for a winter/spring wedding, or cool if you are a summer/autumn bride.

It is a size 12 and I was probably between an 8/10 when I got married - but because it is cut on the bias it would fit between 8-12. It was worn once! And was extremely comfortable.

It was originally bought from Bluebell Bridal in Melbourne, Australia. It retails in the UK for £1850.

The dress has been professionally dry cleaned. There are some small marks at the very edge of the train and but these are not noticeable when on because of the puddling. They could easily be removed if the train was altered / the dress shortened (Happy to provide more photos). There are no other marks or faults.

The main part of the dress is unaltered and I had a few centimetres taken off the bottom. I am 5ft7ins and I wore three inch heels.

I wore the back necklace from Kelly Spence which was designed for the dress. These are still available to buy from her website. (I am not selling mine as it was a gift from my bridesmaids.)

Alterations

Taken up slightly - I’m 5ft 7ins and wore 3inch heels. Also ‘eyes’ added to straps so back chain could be attached.
