I fell in love with this gown when I saw it in Jenny Packham's 2012 Spring/Summer Collection, and took my breath away when I noticed Kate Middleton wear a peacock version to the 2012 Olympic Gala.

The dress has been worn once, by the original buyer to her March 2013 Wedding. It's hard to explain how beautiful this gown looks and feels on, I just hope the pictures do it justice!

The 1930's inspired vintage gown oozes elegance and timeless glamour. It is a gorgeous ivory silk, with a Chantilly lace back that fastens with a row of silk clad buttons, lace cap sleeves and lace detailing in the bodice. With beautiful embellishment detail at the front and a delicate bow at the back, this dress has all the elements that complete a truly memorable gown.

This is a Jenny Packham size UK12 although it feels more like Aus10. Due to the way it is cut, it falls beautifully around the hips and bum, and doesn't show any lumps or bumps. The gown is semi-fitted at the hips, and falls into a flowy train which had a loop added so it could be bustled to enable you to move more easily and dance in it post ceremony.

It has been taken in slightly at the waist and shoulders by a wedding dress seamstress, a small modification which doesn't change the overall size. The gown was also taken up at the hem by just a couple of cm's (The bride was 167cm tall and wore 3.5-inch/8.5 cm heels).

The dress was professionally dry-cleaned straight after the wedding (at Atlas drycleaners, reportedly the best for wedding gowns) and apart from a tiny (less than a cm) hole in the lining, it is in perfect condition. You can't see the tiny repaired mark at all when the dress is worn, plus if you are having more taken off the hem then this won't be an issue at all! I'm only mentioning it so buyers are aware.
