Great place to sell a wedding dress. It was a bit confusing though on what to do after a sale is made, and how to calculate shipping. I couldn't find any step by step info on how to move forward once I got a sale. I eventually figured it out, but it's not super clear.

I was searching for a reputable site to sell my wedding dress. Stillwhite had good reviews and just looked like a higher quality site. It took about a year to sell my wedding dress but I feel that Stillwhite gave me the best opportunity to attract the right buyer. It was ok, I finally sold the dress, however I had to remove the first listing at it was clearly so far down the list that people didn't view it after a while. After I re-posted it, it had more views, but only one person interested in the dress that was based in the UK. The platform is easy to use though and ok for price.

Listing the dress was simple but the actual transaction has been pretty negative for me. There is no barrier between seller and buyer and I’ve been getting blamed for things outside of my control (the buyer is unhappy with the delivery date even though I paid a hefty fee to get there in time). On top of that, I wasn’t told I’d have a tax liability. With other consignment sites, I’ve shipped the product and the money has been added to my account seamlessly and here it’s jumping through hoops!

I loved it. Maybe a bit too much, I've been engaged for a few years and dread to think how many hours I've spent on here! So much choice. I liked all the filter options but sometimes found that sellers didn't put all the details in so if I only used the filters I missed some that would be suitable. I love the dress I've found, I was determined to find a second hand one that would fit. I think it's much more ethical to reuse things, I generally buy second hand clothes and have done for years. It was easy to list my dress. I got a lot of hits, but being an online sale for an expensive item without trying it on can be tough. I liked the fact that I only paid one fee. Easy to use, one off fee and easy to message potential buyers. Could only put limited photos on the basic package and could only use PayPal which charged extra fees (more if outside of UK). Would definitely recommend for selling, as you are fully covered.

I think the platform is great, but there should also be a safe option for buyers and sellers to be able to have this exchange with installments like other comparable sites. Maybe also display shipping options? I like how customized a deal can be, though.

It took a lot longer than expected to sell my dress, and I had 8 people seem like they were going to buy it and then ghost me. I also had SO MANY issues with PayPal and almost lost my sale to it. I would strongly encourage you to consider other payment options beyond PayPal like Venmo or Zelle. I have had nothing but problems with PayPal even off of this platform.
