This gorgeous wedding dress was perfect for my tropical wedding with it's cut out sides and sheer back. The material is quite thin (for a wedding dress) and stretchy so it was extremely comfortable.

The dress is called Alysse and it's by Essense of Australia, I believe it's the Stella York sister brand. Either way, I tried on this wedding dress and it was perfect from the start. It's super flattering - the cut outs at the waist really accentuate the waist - and the back of the dress is to die for.

The official blurb is that Alysse is a vintage fit and flare wedding dress, featuring a touch of glam that sets it apart from the rest. Its sweetheart, V-neckline is accented by sweet lace straps that extend beautifully into a beautifully elaborate high illusion back. With its lace and tulle over Imperial Crepe bodice and skirt, this gown is as moveable and comfortable as it is gorgeous. Lace side cut outs and a lace cameo back add unexpected elements of glamour, while the wide flare train is utterly romantic with its double-scallop lace hem. The back of this gown zips up beneath fabric buttons.

I was a perfect off-the-rack 12 in this dress - I had a few minor alterations (see alterations section) but it was pretty much ready to go off the rack.

The dress is currently being professionally cleaned by one of the top wedding dress dry cleaners in Brisbane - there's not a stain or mark on it but I wanted it to be perfect for the next lucky lady who gets to wear this.

Minor alterations - I had the train reduced in length slightly as it was a bit too long for an outdoor wedding - you can see on the photo on the edge of the cliff that there's still a train though. I also had a small button added to the back so that I could pin up the train into a bustle for dancing.
