Enzoani, Dorothea

This white Enzoani Dorothea dress was ordered and made to measure for my wedding in June 2012 at a cost of £1800.
It has the structure of a wedding dress around the body, so you feel secure and yet it creates a very soft A-line silhouette. The material is crisp white chiffon that is ruched on the top half adding elegant but simple detail. The back has white buttons as far as the bottom and the long train can be hooked up onto this for ease of walking post ceremony.
Please note that the brooch that is featured in the center of the original Dorothea dress, is not on my dress. I did not incorporate this brooch when I had the dress made. Instead I lowered the back just slightly to just above the bra line and I added two spaghetti style straps for the ceremony, in the evening these were removed and a one shoulder vintage corsage style one shoulder strap was added to the right hand shoulder. Both style of straps were fastened discretely with buttons on the inside. My dress was transformed from a simple but stunning A-line wedding dress to a red-carpet evening style dress which worked so well and gave it such a different look. Both straps are included with the dress so you can create either style or both if you like.

I am size 8 (I think it would fit a 10) 5 ft 6 inches and wore heels of 9cm, 32B, 26inch waist although the waist is fastened using a wide corset style strap that can be fastened on 3 different hooks so the waist measurements are slightly flexible.
I was so pleased with my dress, it was so soft and created such elegant lines when I walked. Its simplicity was perfect for the ceremony whilst I was holding the flowers but the one-shoulder strap gave it some statement for the evening. It has the structure of a wedding dress but a far softer more elegant look. Stunning.
