This stunning silk gown is called “Katelyn” and is from Melbourne based Designer Wendy Makin’s couture collection and is the perfect dress for the non-traditional bride.

This amazing gown will have your fiancées and all your guests jaws drop. It features beautiful printed and embroided florals in all shades of pink, blush and magenta and purple on an ivory base. The material is a super light and expensive Italian silk and although it is a full skirt and a lot of fabric it is not heavy and you can move around very easily. The dress has a sweetheart neckline which gathers into a rushed waist. The bodice is completely boned but very comfortable to wear. The dress has a zip up the back covered with pearl beads. An elastic loop goes over the pearl bead from one side of the dress and it is very easy to get in and out which saved me heaps of time when getting ready.

The dress has a small train which can be shortened into a bustle. I wore it more casually without a hoop skirt but if you wish to show its full skirt you can easily get a hoop skirt to show it off in its full beauty.
We had a farm wedding and I always knew that I do not want to wear white or ivory.

An elastic band has been added for extra support
My height is 170cm and I wore 7cm heels. On some of the photos I am wearing gumboots with no heel.
The measurements are
Waist 29-30inch(74.5cm-76.5cm)
Bust 32-33 inch (possible due to elastic)82.5-84cm
I would say it fits a 38 or Medium.
