The wedding was called off 10 weeks before, so whilst the dress is entirely new, I had the first fitting whereby the buttons at the back were removed and the top part tacked in, but it can be easily (and undamaged) untacked back to it's original size.

I'd say it's a very generous 12, but I am pear shaped and more a size 8-10 on top anyhow.
