I should have posted my dress much sooner (within first 4 months of the wedding) as its probably easier to sell a 4 month old dress than a 4 year old dress. I was disappointed that it took a year to sell and that I had to reduce the price (as although 3 other buyers tried it on, the dress was a very small size and did not quite fit them). Overall though happy with the sale and that the buyer paid the amount I was asking in cash. Thanks StillWhite!”

About the Dress

Stunning and romantic, Chantilly lace couture gown with train. Long sleeves (lace) with low back and centre front split. Fully lined in silk (which was made as a separate dress). A one off, bespoke design, hand-made to couture standards by the Milan trained Anna Maurer.

I helped design this gown by Anna Maurer for my November vineyard wedding in the country. I wanted to create a timeless 'Grace Kelly' elegant and sophisticated look to suit the romantic vineyard setting but with a slightly more daring and sleeker aesthetic incorporating a front split and low back. I took inspiration from a romantic, lace, Monique Lhuillier collection, featuring soft lace and front splits. Anna turned my vision into reality and I was told by many at the wedding and afterwards that it was the most beautiful wedding dress they had ever seen. I would really love for someone else to be able to wear this gown as it deserves to be worn more than once.

The measurements are approximate:
Waist- 64cm
Hips 81cm
Shoulder seam to waist 40cm (over bust)
My height is 5ft 5.5inches (166cm) but due to the dry cleaning processes on the natural fibres of silk and lace, I think it would suit anyone over 5ft 2 but no-one taller than my height.

The delicate lace is French imported 100% Chantilly Lace from the Solstiss factory in France (same factory that produced the lace Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge wore for her wedding).

100% pure Silk lining (made as a separate dress before attaching to the lace)

Floor length gown with train (train also silk lined) which can be buttoned up to the back of the dress, to enable dancing without tripping.

'Illusion' high lace neckline with a beautiful low- back and long lace sleeves

In-built bra and corsetry so no need for undergarments.

Buttons with rouleau loops already fastened in place to cover the hidden zipper. This gives a couture finish with practicality.. (no need for your bridesmaids to spend ages fumbling to button up dozens of buttons whilst rushing to get ready).

Off white/ivory colour

My gown was dry cleaned by leading Sydney specialty wedding dress dry cleaners twice as I was not satisfied the first time. My wedding was held on a country property vineyard and so the bottom of the dress got a little soiled from the 'soil'. Unfortunately the 2nd dry cleaning process was a little harsh and caused a small portion of the delicate pure silk lining to pill. However, being lining, this cannot be seen when worn.
I paid over $600 for the dry cleaning and for the designer to hand sew a few small tears in the delicate French lace which now cannot be seen. I have reduced the price accordingly to compensate for the fact that the gown is not in brand new condition. The dress, once on, will still look like it did in these pictures even though it has been worn once.
