The Dress

This gorgeous dress is called 'Amethyst' by Monique Lhuillier. It was bought in 2014 at a sample sale from a designer boutique in Toronto, Canada (original receipt available). The color is 'silk white' and Swarovski crystals delicately cascade throughout the body of the dress. I wore it on my wedding day in January 2015. It has minor alterations with breast cups inserted which made the breast area more flattering but they can easily be removed. The dress was worn at a garden wedding and so the silk lining has a few areas of faint stains despite expert dry cleaning but this does not show as there is so much tulle at the lower part of the dress which covers the lining completely. It has a flattering silhouette and built in bodice but I still wore a low back corset for a little added waist definition. It is extremely lightweight, I was able to dance the entire night and I felt like I was floating. I am sad to part with this dress but hubby and I have a baby on the way and I know I won't ever be able to wear this beauty again. I am 150 lb, 5'5" and with heels I was 5' 7" and the dress was still floor length and covered my shoes. Bust 34" Waist 29" Hips 40"
