About the Dress

This vintage 1986 Priscilla gown is made of Duchessé Satin. This material is perfect for a fall or winter wedding, but is appropriate any time of the year. Many other websites list this vintage dress line for $500 or more. A few simple alterations will make this a classic and timeless wedding dress. The gown was professionally cleaned and boxed. The Hand sewn veil, with pearls and floral appliqués, is included. The dress was fitted to a size 4. I am 5'5 and 1/2" tall, and I wore flat ballet slipper style shoes with it.

Priscilla of Boston was a bridal business that first opened in 1945 as “The Bride’s Shop” on Newbury Street in Boston, by Priscilla Kidder [removed]. She offered unique handmade dresses with exquisite lace and beading. In 1956 she gained worldwide acclaim when a Priscilla of Boston gown was chosen for Grace Kelly’s bridesmaids.
