The Dress

This dress is the Maggie Sottero Morgan gown in ivory. It was purchased in the size 12 although I am a size 8-10 normally. It is a beautiful lace A-line/ball gown with Swarovski crystal beading and pearl embellishments on tulle and lace, and has a lace scalloped edge on the bottom. The waist is cinched in with a delicate, beaded ribbon belt, and the illusion back is accentuated by silk covered buttons that run along the sheer fabric down the tulle and lace. The stunning illusion sweetheart neckline is accentuated by a beautiful, crystal and pearl-embellished collar. It has a classical train that is not too long but still gives the dress body and beautiful movement, while still being easy to move in.

The dress was worn once in December for a couple of hours and is in perfect condition. I will include the matching veil, also by Maggie Sottero, in the purchase.

I received so many compliments on this dress. It really is a showstopper. It has a classic silhouette and classic lace patches while still being modernized with the beautiful crystal and pearl embellishments. The crystals give the dress the slightest, most beautiful shimmer when you walk. The dress appears so expensive but is not gaudy, and it is a classic that will stand the test of time. The silk-covered buttons on the back are definitely a significant feature that caught the eye of so many of my guests. I felt like a princess inside this dress and I know you will too.

I altered the dress to fit my height, 5'6'' while wearing 4 inch heels. This should fit you if you are 5'10'' or shorter, because you can always get it shortened or adjust your heel height. Remember, it's easier to buy a longer dress than a shorter one.
I also altered it by adding lace cap sleeves using the same fabric that the gown was made with.

In addition, I've had the gown professionally drycleaned and preserved, so it will be ready to wear on your special day and you will have the materials to preserve it.

Side note: I have colored out areas of my skin for personal reasons, but just to be clear, the back is an illusion mesh-paneled back, and the front neckline also has an illusion mesh material.
