A striking Oscar de la Renta ball gown from Spring 2022, featuring oversized bow motifs and intricate cutout detailing. The strapless sweetheart neckline and fitted bodice flow into a dramatic, full skirt, balancing a beautifully defined silhouette with airy openwork fabric. It’s romantic and architectural at once -- a classic bridal shape with an unmistakably modern point of view. No additional lining was added, preserving the original sheer effect and delicate detailing.

The bustle is simple and discreet: the underskirt fastens with snaps, and the outer layer secures with a single button at the lower back.

I typically wear a US size 2–4. The gown had minimal alterations, including being taken in slightly, and there is seam allowance to let it out for a slightly larger fit. It can also be taken in further or shortened. I am 5'5" and wore 5" heels. The full skirt allows plenty of room through the hips; please refer to the measurements for the most accurate fit.

I wore the gown mostly indoors on my wedding day, and there were no stains on the exterior. Afterward, I had it professionally cleaned for preservation by Jeeves in NYC, with a meticulous inspection and specialist hand cleaning to remove dirt from the underside of the skirt. It is now in immaculate condition and ready for its next bride.
