About the Dress

Stunning Oscar de la Renta bridal gown from the Fall 2018 collection, crafted in white silk faille with a fitted strapless bodice and dramatic full skirt. The gown is embroidered with cascading poppy appliqués, dimensional embroidery that gives the florals a beautiful subtle 3D effect.

The gown was purchased at a sale when I thought I had found my wedding dress, but I ultimately decided to go in a different direction. It has never been altered or worn for a wedding.

The floral appliqué throughout the gown is in great condition. There is soiling along the underside/bottom hem from the skirt being on the floor. I have intentionally left the gown uncleaned rather than treating the silk myself, and the condition is fully reflected in the photos. A professional bridal cleaner can advise on treatment.

The gown can be worn as shown or with a petticoat underneath for an even fuller, more dramatic silhouette. I personally planned to wear it with one. Petticoat is not included.
