Inspired by the Gucci gown Dakota Johnson wore to the 2022 Vanity Fair Oscars party, this dress combines red-carpet drama with soft, romantic bridal details. I’m usually a very “safe” dresser, but for my wedding I wanted something with a real wow factor- and this dress delivered.

The gown features a structured corset, a flattering V-neckline and a flowing A-line silhouette, finishing in a magnificent 3.5-metre train. Soft tulle has been hand-draped over the bodice, with individually sewn clear sequins catching the light and creating a delicate shimmer.

The long, cape-like sleeves are a standout feature. Sheer tulle falls from the shoulders into generous cascades of ostrich feathers, framing the dress beautifully and moving with you. Each sleeve has a discreet cord loop that slips over the middle finger, keeping it aligned with your hand so it follows your movements and maintains its elegant drape.

Ostrich feathers in varying sizes create depth, texture and fullness through the sleeves, skirt and train. The gown has a substantial, luxurious weight, yet feels wonderfully soft, with beautiful movement in the tulle and feathers. Its delicate blush tones add to the romantic feel, and it photographs beautifully.

The corset is the only closely fitted part of the dress, while the skirt and sleeves fall freely. This gives some flexibility for changes in body size, with any fit adjustments focused on the corset.
