About the Dress

Vivienne Westwood Nova Camille gown, made to order in 2025 through Wild at Heart in the Netherlands and worn once for my wedding in Puglia, Italy, in August 2026.

The Nova Camille is a reinterpretation of Vivienne Westwood’s original Camille corset, first seen in the Autumn-Winter 1987/88 collection. The design combines the structured corset with a slim A-line skirt, folding through the centre back and flowing into a sweeping train. It is made in a beautiful heavy stretch satin, with the clean, sculptural lines that makes it so distinctive.

What I loved most about this dress is that it is simple at first glance, but the detail and fit make it incredibly special. The shape is beautifully flattering, and the quality and construction are exceptional.

I felt so beautiful wearing it. It felt completely natural, elegant, glamorous and still very much like me. It is easily the most incredible thing I have ever worn.
It was also genuinely wonderful to wear throughout the day. The gown is light, comfortable and moves beautifully with you. It has an inbuilt bustle, which made it easy to gather the train for the first dance.

The gown is in wonderful condition and has only been worn once. It was professionally dry cleaned immediately after the wedding, according to label directions. The dress has been carefully stored since and comes with original garment bag and hanger. There are a few minor signs of wear to the hem of the train from the day itself, but these are not visible when the gown is worn. I will provide photos to interested buyers.

It is a UK size 8, although I would say it is better suited to a UK 6 due to the tight fit of the corset. The hem has been taken up to fall just on the floor for my height (171cm) and shoes (8cm). The original length is retained within the dress, so it can be easily let down to its original length if needed. The bustle button was also lowered to ensure the back of the dress sits on the floor when bustled. Otherwise the dress is unaltered.

I would love for another bride to have the experience of wearing this gown. It is a very special dress beautifully made, incredibly flattering and glamorous in a way that feels effortless.
