Skirt:
100% silk Crystal Chandelier mini skirt in ivory/white hand-dyed double-faced silk satin, hand-embroidered with glass chandelier crystals. Features an invisible zipper and silk lining. Featured in the Fall/Winter 2023 Runway collection (Look 6). Made in New York.

Condition & Alterations:
Worn for approximately one hour during my wedding afterparty and in excellent pre-owned condition.

The skirt was originally purchased from a Wiederhoeft sample sale and was professionally dry cleaned prior to my wedding. I had the hem shortened to create a higher-above-the-knee mini length. The original beads and crystals removed during hemming were retained and used to restore areas of bead loss elsewhere on the skirt.

The corset was purchased brand-new from another bride who ultimately did not wear it. It had no beadwork repairs prior to my wedding.

After the wedding, my mother, who is a seamstress, spent approximately 50 hours meticulously restoring and reinforcing the beadwork throughout the set, with particular attention to maintaining the symmetry of the crystal pattern. The overall effect is beautiful and the set presents exceptionally well. Upon very close inspection, there are still a small number of individual beads/crystals missing, as can be expected with a garment this heavily and delicately hand-embellished. Additional original beads/crystals are included for any future repairs (see photos).

Please note that this is the earlier 100% silk version of the Chandelier set. The silk is a soft ivory rather than a bright optic white. There is also very mild tonal variation/discoloration visible in the silk upon close inspection.

The set has not been dry cleaned since it was worn due to the extremely delicate hand-beaded construction. I would recommend using a cleaner that specializes in bridal and couture garments rather than a standard dry cleaner.
