About the Dress

The Ava gown by Renhue is the most effortlessly elegant dress I could have imagined wearing on my wedding day. Made in ivory charmeuse, it has the most beautiful soft sheen and drapes in a way that feels timeless, romantic, and incredibly flattering.

The fit and flare silhouette hugs in all the right places while still feeling comfortable and easy to move in. I loved how the sashes could be worn off-the-shoulder or halter neck style, meaning I could switch between two different looks during my wedding day (i.e. one look for the ceremony/photos, the other for dinner/dancing).

Using the spare fabric that was removed from the hem, I had a soft fabric clasp made that could tie the sashes behind my back or neck. If you'd prefer to simply tie the sashes in a knot (which is how most brides seem to wear this dress), you can easily remove the clasp. It’s a US size 8 (UK size 12) but I had it taken in quite a lot. I am usually a UK size 8-10 depending on the shop.

The Ava is perfect for a bride looking for something sophisticated, modern, and understatedly glamorous - it has a similar feel to some of the Vivienne Westwood dresses. I felt so confident and beautiful in this dress, and I’d love for another bride to have the same experience in it! Happy to send more photos as well :)
