My Fairy Tale Dress

I recently had the honour of wearing my dream wedding dress to my wedding - The Selena gown by Karen Willis Holmes. It truly was an amazing dress. Made with Tulle from England, Japanese Organza and Guipure Lace from France, this dress is a statement piece, with lots of layers and textures. It's dramatic but feminine.

This gown is from the Karen Willis Holmes bespoke collection, it has been selected to feature in publications such: ‘Sophisticated Wedding NY – “Masquerade at the Mansion edition” and “Cosmopolitan Bride Australia” This beautiful strapless gown with Guipure lace bustier and full Organza skirt is perfect for any bride looking for a fashion forward yet traditional gown.

This dress is a size 10 but as the back is corset, I think it will fit 8, 10 or 12. I am a size 10 top and 12 bottom and the dress fit me perfectly. As you can see from the photos, there was room for the corset to be taken in or out.

The skirt features seven Organza panels attached to the waistband. The train is approximately 1m in length and can be bustled invisibly under the continuous waves. This is a truly beautiful gown. I would love for someone else to have the opportunity to wear it on their special day and feel the way I did whilst wearing it.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Although my dress has been professionally dry cleaned by Leon's Fine Dry Cleaning in East Brisbane, there is a slight mark on the one the silk skirt and the ties of the corset. The mark can't be seen once the dress is on as it has many layers and the ties can also be hidden. There is also two small heel holes (two guest stood on my dress!) at the bottom of the skirt but again aren't visible whilst the dress is on. I can send you photos if required.
