Ballgown

Pristine 1989 Sealed Vintage Gown and Veil Bundle. Original receipt and photos included. Purchased Sept. 1989 from historic, high-end "Mildred's House of Brides" in Hawthorne, NJ. Receipt shows original cost: $1,100 for the gown, and $230 for the matching veil (Total: $1,330 in 1989, equivalent to over $3,400 today). Dress/veil was professionally dry-cleaned, sealed in preservation box with protective outer plastic cover immediately following the wedding. Important Packaging Note for Transparency: The outer box has a visible brownish ring on the bottom of the box that you can see through the clear plastic (see photos). This apparently is standard acid migration from the original 1989 packaging adhesives/materials over time. The box remains 100% sealed, and the dress has been protected by inner layers that the cleaners wrapped it in.
Dramatic late-80's structured "pouf" sleeves accented with hanging pearl fringe. Vintage matching veil has stunning dimensional floral lace headpiece with pearl accents and a tiered, wire-edged wavy tulle.
On Receipt: Tag Size: Size 12; Bust: 35.5 in; Waist: 26 inches. I do not know exact hip measurement (36 "?) Modern Sizing Equivalent: Fits like a Modern US Street Size 4/6.
The box will remain completely sealed and wrapped for shipping to guarantee pristine state for buyer. Item will ship fully box-protected, tracked, and fully insured.
I do not believe there was any alterations done on the dress, perhaps minor adjustments at first fitting.
I believe the material of the gown is taffeta. It is not detailed on receipt.
