About the Dress

This stunning Vera Wang Jenny wedding dress is unique, yet elegant and understated.

This was my dream dress - I wanted long sleeves and a flattering bust line without looking too “busty” on the day. I loved the long ‘over-sized’ sleeves as they gave a “care-free” chilled vibe I wanted initially, and the a-line shape skimmed my hips and I felt elongated. However, in the immediate lead up to my wedding, my whole theme changed and I found myself ultimately going with something completely different with lace and florals. I will always be sad I didn’t wear this dress because it’s so beautiful but I just decided to go in an entirely different direction.

It’s important for me to state that I did have a fitting in this dress and I imagine a buyer would only need to get minor alterations made to it or hopefully none at all! The alterations were made by the very prestigious Pronovias in Bond Street, London. There is boning added to the fitted bodice and bonding added under the bust for support. The lady in the pictures taken at home is actually wearing a strapless bra too.

The dress train has a small hoop which hooks onto the buttons at the back of the dress to lift the skirt up if desired, as shown in the image. The dress also has a zip with the back buttons as an illusion.
