Lola Varma, Veil (reimagined)

A marvel of a veil. I was inspired by the beautiful Lola Varma Farrah veil and 1980s vintage pouf veils, and brought the idea to a local artisan wedding dressmaker.

Its absolutely one of a kind. Unlike the Farrah veil, it comes with a blusher. The veil is constructed such that there is a gentle pouf when the blusher is over my face, and another second, higher pouf that frames my face beautifully like a tiara when I am unveiled. Made with more craftsmanship than almost anything seen on the wedding market these days.

The fabric is a fine polyester netting which holds its structure well, and floats away from the face. You don't need to worry about it getting torn, stained or dirty. It is very light. The veil is firmly attached to a black plastic comb, and the dressmaker was careful to loop enough fabric over the comb so it doesn't show from the top or front. I loved wearing it and took most of my wedding photos all evening with this- it was a perfect blend of vintage, elegance and youth!

P.S. If I was planning on having children, I would have kept this for my daughter.
