The dress is one of dreams, gorgeous ivory crepe fabric with lace appliques and a sheer illusion mesh top. I removed the zipper back with button appliques into a more dramatic, completely backless/sheer look using a concealed zipper along the sides. I also added some additional floral appliques on the top of the chest pointing outward toward the shoulders to create a more hourglass illusion.

The day was an auspicious one - set to rain all weekend in misty, rainy Sutton, Quebec in July, the rainiest, yet most beautiful month. Against all odds, the thundery morning of our rehearsal broke into a beautiful sunny evening with a stunning sunset - this weather continued all the way through our Saturday wedding day with, again, a stunningly gorgeous sunset. Every detail went to plan and not a dry eye in the house. The morning after the wedding, thunderstorms returned. I can't help but feel there is magic imbued in this dress and I deeply hope it finds its new home with a beautiful bride who believes in the ethereal goodwill and love stitched into its fabric.
