I had the front hem tailored to suit my 173cm height, but that hem tapered so the back train (short train option on this dress of 80cm which can be used with finger loop or hooked onto back buttons when you want to dance) is the same as when purchased
It was still quite long, as I had heels on so could be lifted easily again
