About the Dress

Stunning dress that I wore for my wedding in May 2016. It has a beautiful, flattering silhouette and was comfortable to wear - it got an amazing amount of compliments. It was actually the very first dress I tried on and of course I tried on others just to be sure, but nothing compared to the way I felt in this one.

I customised it by lowering the back. I also had hidden bustle ties added on the inside (so the train can be tied up for the reception), the length altered (I am 175cm and wore a 3cm heel) and B cup breast enhancers added, which could be easily removed or replaced. I bought the dress at David Jones, Sydney and alterations were done by their recommended alterations specialist -Sew Special.

It has been dry cleaned and looks like new. With the customised back it cost $2850 new (other alterations cost extra). Although a size 8, it should also fit a size 10 as it has stretch in it, and lowering the back has given it more flexibility in the bodice. I'm a dress size 8 or 10 - depending on the store/style. I actually tried on a size 6 and a size 12 whilst waiting for my size and both fit me around the lower half as it is bias cut, it is only really the top that is different.

I wore it with a Marianna Hardwick cathedral length veil with a pencil edge, which cost $365 new. I am also selling this, price negotiable if you are buying the dress.
