About the Dress

The inspiration for this dress was to make something that I knew hundreds of other brides wouldn’t be wearing. If I was going to spend $6k on a dress, I wanted it to be unique and one of a kind!

Vasiliki Couture brought my dream to life with this custom made dress. The beautiful (and very unique) French lace and silk imported by D’italia Fabric was admired by everyone. The lace on the bodice was individually applied piece by piece to ensure the best possible design.

I still have some spare material/offcuts that I am happy to provide, just in case you wish to made some adjustments and need some more material to add. I am generally a size 8-10 but could easily be altered for size 6-10 (or even size 12 if you have a great dressmaker).

I am 178cm and wore regular size heels. I am a C cup and the dress has padding in the bust area for shape. Dress can be bustled for easy dancing :-)

The dress was only worn once - on the 9th April 2016 - and the dress was dry cleaned in the weeks immediately after.

Fabric all together is worth $3,586. The cost to have the dress designed and made was $2,660. I have still the original receipts.

I received so many amazing compliments about this dress and want someone else to feel as fabulous as I did on my day!
