The structure and craftesmanship of the dress is devine, obviously wouldn’t expect anything less in ODR but you feel amazing in it. The attention to detail and the structure in particular, it was made to flatter a women’s figure. Multiple zips at the back ensuring a snug fit and boned bodice. Layers under the silk of taffeta and other materials so it falls gorgeously as an a-line. It’s not a puffy dress, more a-line. Has a pin and loop to hold the big skirt up around your waist for dancing. I have images of me wearing the dress and detailed dress pics available on request. The max I can upload is 8. There is some small scuffing at the bottom of the dress but mostly not visible as on the inside and some stain marks from rose petals being thrown and stuck in my bodice all day, pale pinky colour, but again cannot be seen when wearing the dress. It has been dry cleaned.

Dress currently at home in Oxfordshire but happy to have fittings at my work studio in Kentish Town, London, with minimum 2 days notice. £50 per fitting, fee is knocked of the price if bought.

Alterations

  • The dress was very long and I didn't wear heels, the current length is perfect for a flat shoe 5'8 person
  • Or a 3inch heel on a 5'5 person etc
  • The seamstress took up the hem in a way that was reversible (see images attached, juts needs unpicking, very easy!) should you want to extend the length back out, we did this so it would be more sellable
  • I wouldn't recommend making the length any shorter as this will ruin the beading/embroidery pattern
  • It was a 'size 12' but was taken in a fair amount around the waste and bust so it definitely more a size 10 I would say
  • I cannot measure as I am now 6 months pregnant my sizes have changed! So unsure exactly what measurements but it would fit a 10 perfectly :) Too small for a 12 I'd say
