Moonrise Canyon collection. she is dreamy and comfortable, and HAS POCKETS! The balloon sleeves are removable. The dress fits almost any height because of tulip skirt design. See alterations for slip length.
These dresses are made with love in New Zealand and the designer creates all the fabric as well. She is known for gorgeous appliqué and lace patterns that you cannot find anywhere else. There are other companies trying to replicate Rue de Seine but they fall short. These are truly unique and she rarely reuses fabrics so each dress and collection is truly distinct.
Although it’s strapless it feels secure with corset boning. Im usually between a size 4-6 US (120 lb and 32C/34b) (bodice unaltered)
When I brought to dry cleaner after my wedding he said it was the cleanest wedding dress he’d ever seen. Got it professionally cleaned anyway, just in case.

Alterations
- no alterations were made on the bodice or hemming of the main dress
- 1) We wanted to get a bustle made for dancing but with the pleats it wasn’t possible so instead my seamstress created three near invisible small white loops on the inside of the train that attach to a wristband when desired to lift the dress
- A bit heavy for the scrunchy wristband alone but gives you a good grip on the dress and keeps the longest part up
- I only had it attached to wristband during the first dance
- 2) She hemmed just the inside slip to my height with heels, about 5’9
- Didn’t have a problem dancing or stepping on main dress (unaltered)
- She said main dress should stay unaltered, and that a long flowy look was best versus altering it
- Since its a tulip skirt, it fits almost anyone hieghtwise she said
- 3) She also added an extra support stitch on the right side of the bodice where it attaches to the skirt for extra support, this has a safety pin in it now to support in transit
- 4) Additionally, she added little clear snaps that attach the sleeves to the dress which were nice so that the sleeves could be removed for dancing! Originally the sleeves had a small string attaching them to the dress
