The Dress

Gorgeous Amelie dress by Prea James. Handmade in the Prea James Australian Atelier from a Burnout Organza.

A stunning dress with a romantic, yet modern feel. The fabric makes this dress so unique - a romantic feel like you might see with lace, yet was contemporary being a burnout organza.

The bodice is constructed with internal boning, providing a supported and comfortable fit. With a centre back zipper opening, the bodice is designed to be firm fitting with the relaxed off the shoulder straps and exaggerated puff sleeve. The fluted skirt is fitted over the high hip to flatter and elongate the shape.

This truly was my dream wedding dress - the a-line shape is very flattering, comfortable and easy to dance in and move.

The dress has been dry cleaned and is in great condition. I cannot see any marks on any parts of the dress that show, there are a few, very slight marks at the bottom of the dress on the lining which cannot be seen when wearing.

20cm train. The dress size is a 11 with small alterations to fit. I typically wear a AU 8 in clothing.

Alterations

Dress was altered slightly to be made smaller, to fit someone who is typically a standard size 8. The dress was hemmed (I’m 165cm and wore 6cm heels) and the sleeves were taken in slightly to stop them from falling off my shoulders.
