The Dress

First off!! Please note this gorgeous lace & silk ivory-colored dress goes one step beyond being a Casa Blanca dress --this is a Casa Blanca Couture dress!!

Its neckline is beautifully heart-shaped, and the entire bust and surrounding back area (the entire top of the dress if you will) is constructed in silk that is beautifully and delicately pleated. The quality of the silk is top of the line! The top and bottom sections of the dress are united at the front and center of the lowest point of the cleavage, if you will, by a beautiful sequin-made embellishment, almost rendering the dress an empire-waist type of gown.

In addition to the neckline, the dress comes with spaghetti straps that were sewn in to make sure no accidents would happen. The straps were originally designed to accompany the gown but they first displayed the dress as a strapless one at the store (White Lace). Straps can easily be taken off. (I'm usually a size 8 in pants but I'm a busty girl, with a bra-size of 38-DD, so I had to go with the street size of 12 (14 label size).

Like I mentioned above, the top part of the dress is beautifully embellished and the fabric is all silk. The relaxed and exquisite bottom is all French-exquisite and elegant Guipure lace that covers 2 to 3 additional layers of what makes the total dress. Guipure lace is one of the thickest types of laces that you can find.

The dress is low-key in a sense but it manages to impress due to its innate elegance that stems from its high-quality materials. And the train? I love the train, which is neither too extravagant nor too short to go unnoticed!

Few alterations were made to the dress: the straps were sewn in and adjusted in length to my size . The dress' top/bodice inseams were losened a bit on both sides to be able to lift the bodice a tad more.

I'm 5.5 and wore high heels which would add about 10-15 centimeters to the actual length. So, I think it'd fit you right if you're up to 5.7" and your heels are conservative and not too tall. The dress would fit any figure in my opinion -- slender, curvy and everything in between with the right alterations.

All in all, it was love at first sight. The quality of the silk is fabulous, and the fall and the feel of it is elegance! It is relaxed and romantic enough for any type of venue.
