The Dress

The 'Anya' gown is simple, feminine and timeless.

I wore the gown for our elopement to New York in August, 2015.

It is labelled a Karen Willis Holmes (KWH) size 4, which is equivalent to a street size 6 (true to size). I'm a size 6, 10B cup and 163cm tall.

The only alterations were to the length of the spaghetti straps and the length of gown (floor length as you can see in the 4th image). I wore 9cm heels. It is still quite long - in hindsight I could have worn it shorter.

I also had double bra cups professionally stitched in as I didn't want to wear a bra. These can can easily be removed. All alterations were professional made by the KWH boutique in Armadale, Victoria. The neck line was also 'relaxed' to fit the decolletage area more naturally.

I wore the gown with the belt it came with, but wore the satin side up (other side was sequins). It also bustles up easily.

The gown was professionally drycleaned by Australia's best (and recommended by KWH) - Syndal's Bridal Dry Cleaners in Melbourne. The dress has been completely restored to brand new condition (even more sparklier than when I purchased it - I purchased the last one off the rack). It is currently stored and sealed in its special preservation box and comes with its Certificate of Dry Cleaning. With the boxed gown, you will receive all original tags, receipt, Certificate of Drycleaning and a small bag with extra sequins.
