This Art Deco style hand beaded dress was purchased from designer Gwendolynne Burkin in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

The fabric is 100% silk chiffon and crepe satin, the top, cap sleeves and open back intricately hand beaded. The rear of the dress is finished with a row of silk buttons and a beautiful vintage clasp to close the back. To complement this clasp, I wore a matching hair comb by Richard Nylon Millinery, who works directly with gwendolynne to make pieces to perfectly compliment her gowns. The hair comb ($200RRP) is included in the sale price of the gown.

The gown has a small silk crepe trail which can be bustled for your reception.

I am a size 10, 168cm tall and a C Cup. I chose to wear a strapless bra but the dress could also be worn bra-less.

This dress was a dream to wear, comfortable, light and elegant. I cannot imagine boxing it up to be put away never to be seen again and hope to find someone who will love to wear it as much as I did. It has been professionally dry cleaned. Price negotiable.
