The Dress

Stunning Jesus Peiro medium volume A Line dress....with pockets!

This dress is just amazingly flattering, I got married 4 months after giving birth and this dress really gave me the confidence to feel great on my wedding day.

The shape is classic, it really cinched me in at the waist and flows beautifully outwards over the hips to the floor. The skirt is medium volume so I opted not to have a petticoat underneath, but in hindsight I wish I had, for the big wow factor. The fabric is dotty taffeta and gives the dress a matt looking contemporary finish. The fabric itself gives a little structure to the dress and I felt super held in and comfortable all day, no straps or underwear to worry about. Great dress for dancing in too. We had a ceilidh and it didn't hold me back at all!

The dress photographed so well, there was so much movement from the fabric but hands down the best thing about this dress is the pockets -I felt like it was somewhere to put my hands that made me look relaxed when I was so nervous before going down the aisle! Also perfect for putting my lip stick in for a little touch up throughout the day.

I had the dress altered slightly round the bust to take it in a little bit (bust size 32 DD) and the seamstress added a bustle to the back of the dress so I could hook it round my wrist for dancing. This bustle unfortunately broke (only the ribbon part which goes round the wrist) it could be easily replaced or repaired.

Marks and Damage
- It was worn once and professionally dry cleaned by a wedding dress specialist 2 days after the wedding and it is in almost perfect condition.
- There is a small circular stain and a couple of other marks on the underside of the dress which I have photographed. There are no marks on the outside of the dress
- bustle ribbon for wrist underneath the dress (used to hold the dress up on wrist when dancing) broken
