RARE EDITION OF EDEN DRESS

I bought the beautiful Eden dress by Jenny Packham for my March 2012 destination wedding. It is two pieces: an ivory silk chameuse bias-cut slip, with a lightweight tulle sheer over-dress with glass beading and crystals intricately embroidered in a Noveau design, and featuring rose/ lotus type flowers. The cap/ flutter sleeves are very flattering to the upper arms and the v-neck allows you to either show cleavage or cover up completely, depending on how you choose to alter it. It is floor length, flows beautifully, is comfortable, features gorgeous draping, and does not need to be bustled. It is gorgeous and the rare type of dress that is cut so it is figure flattering whether you are thin, straight, or very curvy.

I sourced my dress directly from an authorised UK supplier and requested a change to the colour of the slip. While the gold version of the Eden dress normally comes with a platinum silk slip, Jenny Packham crafted for me an ivory coloured slip which I believe complements the intricate detailing much better and is more "bridal". The runway photos and styled photos of the dress all feature the ivory rather than the platinum slip for styling purposes. This is your opportunity to purchase a rare and unique version of this iconic dress.

The craftsmanship on this dress is beyond incredible. I had so many comments on my dress both during and after the wedding. It has great exquisite vintage-y details, and a sophisticated look. A piece as timeless and elegant as this can work anywhere from a historic mansion, country club, or a garden and for winter or summer wedding. It can be styled as bohemian chic (it's similar to Kate Moss' Galliano bridal gown), vintage bride (like my own Gatsby look), or traditional, fashion forward elegance.
