The Dress
I loved this dress so much--very simple, sophisticated, and silky. I found it in a boutique in the garment district in NYC, and made it my big wedding splurge. (The label on the dress doesn't list a size, but when I bought it I was a pretty straightforward size 6 (which has become a size 4, or even size 2 now, though I am still the same size....) The ivory/cream color didn't wash me out (slightly olive complexion that didn't look right in bright white), and lent the dress a romantic elegance. The day after the wedding, I got the dress professionally cleaned and paid to have it stored in an acid-free preservation wrapping/box. I took it out last week and its color is still consistent across the dress. The only flaw is that at the top of the back, one of the little snaps that invisibly attaches the top bow loop over the zipper has a cracked base. Luckily, it's very simple 15 min. repair to replace that snap base with another one. It looks just as amazing as it did on our happy day!
