Prea James, Custom Made Amerlie

Selling my beautiful custom Amelie Prea James dress. Size 8 on the dress label but ended up altering down between a 6 -8 before the wedding day.

I loved the off the rack Amelie dress with the retail sleeves (RRP $5900) as seen in the current season however they were too puffy for my body type so custom made the Amelie dress with short, fitted sleeves instead for an additional $1000. The dress also had a custom 60cm train (retails at 20cm only) which was another additional $1000. This dress is custom so although it does not have a RRP, it cost me $8000 not including alterations.
Other additions to the dress (during alterations and not included in the above price) included sewn in bra cups and a double looped wrist strap for the reception so the train doesn’t get stepped on. These additions are also not included in the off the shelf product. For the wedding day, the dress was double shanked so both layers were attached to the wrist straps but this has come undone which is a 5 minute job for a professional alterations company (I stood in the dress in my final fitting while they double shanked the two layers together).

It has been dry cleaned by Perth's top wedding dress cleaner (Stannards Dry Cleaning, Subiaco for $500) and is in flawless condition. Comes in bag and deserves to be worn again. The material has this amazing shimmer in the sunlight which you can't capture in photos. Let me know if you need anymore detail or photos and I will be happy to send. I am just guesstimating my measurements on my wedding day in the details for waist, bust and hips as I am no longer this size (sigh). As this dress was custom, it was significantly more expensive than the off the rack base models.
