Lee Petra Grebenau, Custom Made

Custom made Lee Petra Grebenau wedding dress, purchased at Powder Bridal in Toronto for my August 2021 wedding.

I decided to take inspiration from multiple Lee Petra Grebenau gowns and took the Leaflet hand beaded detail of the Bella gown and paired it was a body loving shape, and chose a deep v incision. The beadwork is stunning and my favourite as it shows of the craftsmanship. I chose a white silk underlayer (versus the standard nude silk) so the contrast between beading and silk under layer was not so pronounced. I wanted the details to be subtle and elegant, and what turned out was the dress of my dreams.

Top Layer = hand beaded throughout
Middle Layer = White Italian lace
Base Layer = White Silk

For the ceremony, I added a 2-layer tule half skirt also custom designed by Lee Petra Grebenau (included in cost for purchase) and a floor length veil (also available for purchase and included in the cost!), also designed by Lee Petra Grebenau. I removed the half skirt post ceremony for a different look! I chose to affix the skirt via a small, delicate belt as to not disrupt the lace or beading, but you could easily tack right to the dress itself.

This was the dress of my dreams, and while I am sad to part there is a part of me that thinks it deserves to be celebrated and worn, and not sit in its forever box. Regarding care, the dress was dry cleaned by a top specialist in Toronto and sealed in an airtight preservation chamber before being stowed in its final storage box.
